And Managing Member of Westwood Development California

Some people advance their careers from the ground up. Lou Ochoa proudly says he learned his skills from the dirt up. At age 15, he began his first construction job as a part-time laborer. Throughout his swiftly rising career in home building, Ochoa has worn many hats as a customer service rep, construction superintendent, project manager and general manager and knows the business inside and out. In spending 20 years with Barratt American, Lou Ochoa was named president of the Inland Empire Division and was part of the Management Buy-Out of Barratt PLC. In 2004.

Lou was an influence in achieving the highest quality standards in the industry including the top ranking by division in Southern California and top 5 divisions ranking nationally for the Eliant homebuyer survey in 2006 and the NAHB “Silver Award” for the top honors in performance standards for 2008.

In 2006 he was named “Riverside Builder of the Year”. He has served on the Riverside Building Industry Association Board of Directors since 2003 being the BIA President in 2007. Lou has also served on the Southern California Building Industry Association Board in 2007 and 2008 and the San Jacinto Basin Ground Water Advisory Committee from 2004 to 2008.

In June of 2009, with the need to meet the changing housing market, Lou is charged to head up LRO INC. and Westwood Development California as new entities to meet the opportunities of the Southern California real estate market. A Southern California native, he is a second-generation executive in the building industry.
